Šmakovkas muzejam jau apaļa desmitgade! 2. augustā no plkst. 11.00 līdz 19.00 Kulinārā mantojuma centrs “Šmakovka” aicina daugavpiliešus un pilsētas viesus kopīgi atzīmēt muzeja jubileju. Par muzikālo noskaņu rūpēsies DJ Dāvids Pikšis, apmeklētāji varēs ņemt dalību radošnīcās un baudīt Latgales šmakovkas ražotāju prezentācijas. Jubilejas pasākums būs iespēja iepazīt Latgales kulināro mantojumu, nogaršot šmakovku, satikt tās darinātājus un radoši pavadīt laiku kopā ar ģimeni un draugiem.
The greatest miracle and richness of this special place is the ability of its people to live together in peace and harmony, regardless of their religious affiliation. Here, no one tries to impose their choice upon others as superior or as the only truth. The sincerity of the Latgalians, combined with their sacred and rich environment, adds something special to everything created here. In anticipation of the tenth anniversary of the "Shmakovka Museum", which will be celebrated in the summer of 2026, in the fall of 2025 and spring of 2026, all the Holy Places included in the original Way of the Crucifixes were surveyed and the Crucifix Map was restored - one of the exhibits of the museum's Stand No. 2. The largest number of crucifixes in one place is found in the parish of Vabole, near Daugavpils. Of the 44 crucifixes that once existed, 22 have been preserved. They are strung out along a 25 km route, known as the Crucifix Road or the Way of the Crucifixes. The overall route is conditionally divided into three smaller loops, all located in Vabole parish - with the loops beginning at the Skrinda family museum.
